Traffic Study for Mitchell Field Lighting May 13, 2015 <br /> <br />Page | 8 <br />would be dispersed among several street segments in the neighborhood near Mitchell Field and <br />would not have an operational impact on the roadway network surrounding the park. <br /> The project, in a worst case scenario, is expected to generate a 115 vehicle parking demand after <br />dusk, based on the ITE Parking Generation rate. Based on the parking survey conducted for this <br />study, the existing parking facilities provided in Red Morton Community Park are capable of servicing <br />the additional parking demand. Parking is not expected to spill over to streets fronting residential <br />homes. The project is also expected to decrease parking demand at Mitchell Field before dusk , <br />because the addition of lighting will allow the playing time to be spread over more hours, rather than <br />concentrated in the hours before dusk. <br /> Hexagon recommends that the Redwood City Parks and Recreation Department stagger the start <br />times for all practices and games so as to spread out the number of vehicles arriving and leaving <br />Mitchell Field on the nearby street network as much as possible. <br />8.A. - Page 145
