15
VIII. HAZARDS AND HAZARDOUS MATERIALS –
Would the project:
Potentially
Significant
Impact
Less Than
Significant
With
Mitigation
Incorporated
Less Than
Significant
Impact
No
Impact
f) For a project within the vicinity of a private airstrip, would
the project result in a safety hazard for people residing or
working in the project area?
   
g) Impair implementation of or physically interfere with an
adopted emergency response plan or emergency
evacuation plan?
   
h) Expose people or structures to a significant risk of loss,
injury or death involving wildland fires, including where
wildlands are adjacent to urbanized areas or where
residences are intermixed with wildlands?
   

Documentation:
The proposed changes do not create significant hazards, expose populations to hazardous uses, risk of wildland fire, or conflict
with an emergency response plan. The LII zoning district currently does not permit land uses which would create a significant
hazard to the public through hazardous materials transportation, disposal, emissions or use.

The LII contains a Shelter overlay which was adopted in the creation of the district to provide shelter in the event of an
emergency. There are no properties on the Hazardous Waste and Substances Sites List in the LII area. The project area is
located more than two miles from the nearest airport, San Carlos Airport, which is a public airport.

IX.
