Definition—“Unauthorized Berthing”: An “Unauthorized Berthing” <br />occurs when Boat berths at the Docktown Marina without lawful right or the written <br />consent and authorization of the City of Redwood City. <br />2. Clarification—“Boat”: “Boat” includes all manner of watercraft, <br />motorized or not, including but not limited to, “floating homes” and similar floating <br />watercraft that occupy a berth. <br />3. Unauthorized Berthing Fee: Beginning on November 12, 2015, any <br />Boat that is (i) berthed at Docktown Marina in an Unauthorized Berthing or (ii) secured <br />in place or removed pursuant to Section 4 of this Policy, shall incur an Unauthorized <br />Berthing Fee of thirty dollars ($30.00) per day. <br />4. Removal or Securing in Place: Any boat berthed at Docktown Marina in <br />an Unauthorized Berthing may be removed to a storage facility or secured in place, at <br />the discretion of the Redwood City Public Works Director or his/her designee. <br />5. Costs of Removal: The owner of any Boat removed pursuant to Section <br />4 of this Policy shall be liable to the City for any costs associated with such removal, <br />including, but not limited, to the City’s costs to tow the boat and staff time required to <br />oversee the towing. <br />6.3.B. - Page 4
