ATTY/RESO.3138/DOCKTOWN RESOLUTION POLICY <br />REV: 09-23-15 PT <br />Page 1 of 4 <br />RESOLUTION NO. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br />APPROVING A POLICY REGARDING UNAUTHORIZED BOATS AT <br />DOCKTOWN MARINA AND APPROVING CERTAIN ASSOCIATED <br />FEES <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City owns and operates Docktown Marina <br />(“Docktown”), which is located at 1548 Maple Street, Redwood City, CA 94063; and <br />WHEREAS, the City operates Docktown on a fee-for-service basis and relies on <br />fees both from berthing licenses and live aboard rental agreements (hereinafter <br />collectively “berthing fees”, “berth” or “berths”) for a source of income to fund Docktown <br />operations; and <br />WHEREAS, berth is allowed at Docktown only with the permission of the City, as <br />expressed in a license or lease with the City or according to the policies adopted for the <br />operation of Docktown; and <br /> WHEREAS, boats sometimes overstay a lawful berthing or berth at Docktown <br />without permission or legal right and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council desires to more effectively manage the use of the <br />Docktown facilities and to establish a policy for the handing of unauthorized berthings. <br />NOW THEREFORE; BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. The City of Redwood City Policy Regarding Unauthorized Boats at <br />Docktown Marina, which is attached hereto as “Exhibit A” and incorporated herein by <br />reference, is hereby adopted. <br /> <br />2. The fees set forth in Exhibit “A” are hereby approved. <br /> <br />3. This Resolution will be effective upon adoption. <br /> <br /> * * * <br />6.3.B. - Page 3
