Councilwoman La Berge accepted the proclamation and described some of <br /> the activities and programs being planned throughout the year focusing on the needs of <br /> children in San Mateo County. (203,802) <br /> Curt Luck, City Engineer, advised Council that Mayor Jordan was leaving for Washington <br /> on Tuesday, January 24, 1995, and the Council needed to take action tonight. City <br /> Engineer Luck advised that the "Contract with America" sponsored by the Republican Party <br /> addressed revenue enhancements, and in the fine print it mentioned taking over the Hetch <br /> Hetchy System as a revenue producer. The Hetchy Hetchy System services parts of the <br /> Bay Area and Redwood City and this proposal is of great concern to the staff.
