<br /> Councilman Sanfilipo, member of the Council Utilities Committee, described the City's <br /> steps to fix costs for Redwood City residents, and expressed concerns about future increases <br /> if the federal government took over Hetchy Hetchy. Councilman Sanfilipo advised that it <br /> was important to pay attention to what Mayor Jordan was saying, and put the federal <br /> government on notice that Redwood City does not want the federal government to take <br /> control of the Hetch Hetchy System. <br /> MIS: STEINFELD/SANFILIPO GIVING APPROVAL TO THE MAYOR TO SIGN THE <br /> LETTER TO GOVERNOR PETE WILSON PROVIDED BY MAYOR JORDAN OF SAN <br /> FRANCISCO STATING STRONG OPPOSITION TO ANY FEDERAL EFFORTS TO ALTER <br /> THE CURRENT STATUS OF THE HETCH HETCHY PROJECT. <br /> CARRIED BY UNANIMOUS VOICE VOTE. <br /> MINUTE ORDER NO. 95-020 <br />---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- <br />5. Mayor Gasparini advised her colleagues that she had been a member of the Board of the <br /> Sequoia A wards long before she became a Councilmember, and she has been asked by <br /> Chairperson Ted Hannig to sign a letter on behalf of the Awards along with Supervisor <br /> Ruben Barrales. Mayor Gasparini stated that the letter will not be on City letterhead, and <br /> according to the City Attorney, she could exercise her own discretion. Mayor Gasparini <br /> asked her colleagues for approval to sign the letter, and they all approved. <br /> MEMO 1/24/95 <br />B.
