<br /> 2) Matt Leipzig, Redwood City, spoke about CalTrans, his experience on the Traffic <br /> Advisory Committee, traffic safety issues, the poor road conditions on Roosevelt and <br /> James and asked Council to spend more resources on basic City services rather than <br /> social issues. <br /> 3) Don Saye, 2021 Broadway, Redwood City, asked Council to address the issues of <br /> dirty and slippery sidewalks, and asked if the sheriffs work furlough group could <br /> clean the sidewalks on a regular basis. <br /> 4) Don Frohlich, 491 Topaz Street, Redwood City, expressed satisfaction with the <br /> City's street sweeping program, but stated that the abandoned shopping cart problem <br /> was ongoing and the City's ordinance needed strengthening. Mr. Frohlich, member <br /> of the Traffic Advisory Committee reminded Council that the Committee was a ready <br /> resource for community traffic problems, and asked that the Committee be included <br /> in future Council or neighborhood sessions regarding traffic issues. <br /> 5) Keith Bautista, 3010 Sterling Way, Redwood City, expressed his enthusiastic <br /> support for the rubber cape seal program; and, described the problem with the <br /> SamTrans bus stop at Brewster. <br /> In response to Council questions, City Engineer Luck described the consortium of local <br /> cities trying to reach agreement with CalTrans on several issues discussed at this study <br /> seSSIOn. <br /> Council Members thanked staff for the fine presentations and asked that more future <br /> sessions include input from boards, committees and commissions, and Neighborhood <br /> Association co-chairs and members. <br /> 6.
