<br /> Councilwoman La Berge stated approval of the EIR is in no way indicative of <br /> approval of the project but the EIR does meet all the legal requirements. A number of <br /> issues cause concern particularly incompatibility issues. <br /> Councilman Sanfilipo asked for further information about the possibility of approving <br /> the document with the item being incorporated in the EIR. <br /> MEMO 5/9/95 <br /> Councilwoman La Berge as seconder to the motion stated that the intent was approval <br /> with the technical change. <br /> After further discussion Councilwoman LaBerge withdrew the second on the motion. <br /> Motion died for lack of a second. <br /> MIS: HARTNETT /LA BERGE to deny the appeal, certify the EIR with one <br /> modification being that the executive summary of the Sedway report be included in the <br /> body of the EIR and not simply incorporated by reference. <br /> MOTION CARRIED BY UNANIMOUS VOICE VOTE. <br /> MINUTE ORDER NO. 95-100 <br /> Vice Mayor Hartnett asked City Attorney Schricker whether there are any issues that <br /> were brought up at this meeting that are similar in nature to the modification that has <br /> been suggested by the motion that might benefit by further modification of the EIR in a <br /> technical way that could be included in the motion. <br /> City Attorney Schricker asked the consultants to respond to issue of site alternatives <br /> versus alternative site analysis. <br /> Jim Torrey stated that there are two aspects of the alternatives that were discussed, <br /> one being the adequacy of the off site alternatives and the other the adequacy of the on <br /> site alternatives. <br /> ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- <br /> 7.
