<br /> C. Proclamation declaring May 19.20, 1995, as Buddy Poppy Days; <br /> Mayor Gasparini read the proclamation and presented it to Mr. Page. Mr. Page said that <br /> on May 19th and 20th there will be representatives collecting donations for the Veterans of <br /> Foreign Wars to support disabled veteran programs. <br /> D. Proclamation declaring May 8, 1995, as Victory in Europe Day; <br /> Mayor Gasparini read the proclamation and presented it to Mr. Flores. Mr. Flores <br /> thanked the Council and the City of Redwood City for the proclamation. <br /> E. Proclamation declaring May 7-13, 1995, Tourism week in Redwood City. <br /> Councilman Sanfilipo read the proclamation and discussed how the Visitors and <br /> Conventions Bureau for San Mateo County does a tremendous amount to generate income <br /> for the cities within the County. <br /> Mayor Gasparini discussed that Redwood City has a Sister City Zhuhai China and we <br /> have a delegation visiting Redwood City at this time. The Visitor and Conventions <br /> Bureau will be showing them the highlights of San Mateo County and Redwood City. <br /> Councilwoman La Berge stated that Redwood City is currently looking for another Sister <br /> City in Mexico. The Committee is meeting over the next several months to choose a <br /> finalist. WRITTEN COMMUNICATIONS <br /> A.
