Staff <br /> concluded that eighteen standard sized cars could be parked/accommodated on <br /> the street (Maxwell Lane). Most of these spaces are usually available. <br /> <br /> "Concerned about blocking driveways." <br /> } According to California Vehicle Code section 22500 (e), it is illegal to block <br /> driveways. If any of the patrons of the large family day care home block any <br /> driveways repeatedly on Maxwell Lane, other than that of the applicant, than <br /> this permit may be revoked. <br /> <br /> "Daycare clients have been double parking." <br /> ~- According to the California Vehicle Code section 22500 (h), it is illegal to double <br /> park. If it is established that any of the patrons of the large family day care <br /> double park repeatedly on Maxwell Lane, than this permit may be revoked. <br /> <br /> Conformance to the State Law <br /> State law asserts that it is the intent of the Legislature that family day care homes for <br /> children should be situated in normal residential surroundings so as to give children the <br /> home environment which is conducive to healthy and safe development. It is the public <br /> policy of this State to provide children in a family day care home the same home <br /> environment as provided in a traditional home setting. The Legislature declares this <br /> policy to be of Statewide concern with the purpose of occupying the field to the <br /> <br /> <br />
