The facility, a single-family dwelling, is the applicant's residence. The <br /> applicant's residence primarily serves as a single-family dwelling for living <br /> ' and sleeping purposes. Ms. Silveira lives at the premises. <br /> <br /> 3. No structural changes are proposed which will alter the character of the single- <br /> family or multi-family residence. (Local guidelines). <br /> <br /> No structural changes are proposed which will alter the character of this <br /> single-family residence. To date, the applicant has not applied for or <br /> requested building permit(s) for alterations. No pei-i~its shall be Issued <br /> which will alter the residence structurally, as related to the large family day <br /> care home. <br /> <br /> 4. Provisions have been made to provide, at a minimum, one off-street parking <br /> space per employee of driving age not living in the home. The residential <br /> driveway approach is acceptable if the parking space will not conflict with any <br /> required child drop off/pick-up area and does not block the public sidewalk or <br /> right-of-way. (California Health & Safety Code, Section 1597.46, large family day <br /> care homes) <br /> <br /> The applicant's driveway is wide enough (eighteen feet) to accommodate <br /> two cars side by side. The applicant may have one employee and one of <br /> these driveway spaces will be provided for that employee to park and the <br /> other space will be dedicated for pick-up and drop-off purposes. State law <br /> requires at least one employee for a large family day care home, not <br /> Including the applicant. <br /> <br />5. Residences located on major arterial or collector streets must provide a drop- <br /> off/pick-up area designed to prevent vehicles from backing onto the major arterial <br /> or collector streets. The residential driveway may be used as the drop-off/pick- <br /> up area. (Califomia Health & Safety Code, Section 1597.46, large family day <br /> care homes) <br /> <br /> The applicant's residence is in a cul-de-sac and not on a major arterial or <br /> collector street aa defined by the City of Redwood City traffic engineer. As <br /> a result, this condition is not applicable. <br /> <br />6. The provider shall comply with all applicable regulations of the Fire Department <br /> regarding health and safety requirements. State Community Care Licensing will <br /> request a fire inspection. (California Health & Safety Code, section 1597.46, <br /> large family day care homes) <br /> <br /> A site Inspection was made by the City of Redwood City Fire Inspector on <br /> October 24, 2001. Clearance from the Redwood City Fire Department was <br /> obtained for this proposed large family day care home on November 27, <br /> 2001. <br /> <br />7. The facility will be operated in a manner which will not adversely affect adjoining <br /> residences and not be detrimental to the health, safety, and welfare of the <br /> neighborhood. Reasonable noise standards will be maintained during day care <br /> <br /> <br />
