Community Development Services NOTICE OF OFFICIAL ACTION <br /> IPih/calitorniltt <br />Planning and Redevelopment ~ <br /> The applicant signed and agreed to the attached conditions of <br /> approval on December 10, 2001. Additionally, the parents who <br /> patronize this large family day care home have been reminded, by <br /> the applicant, to be "considerate" when picking-up and dropping-off <br /> their kids vis-a-vis the residents of Maxwell Lane. Historically, the <br /> City of Redwood City has granted comparable permits/uses in similar <br /> residential zoning districts and these approved uses have been <br /> determined not to adversely affect adjoining residences and not be <br /> detrimental to the health, safety, and welfare of the neighborhood. <br /> Furthermore, noise generated by the large family day care home is <br /> not expected to exceed or significantly alter the ambient noise levels <br /> typically associated for residential areas during normal business <br /> hours. <br /> <br /> 8. Proof of notification of all property owners and/or occupants within 100 feet <br /> of the subject property has been provided. Please attach proof of notification <br /> (i.e. registered mail receipts or occupant's signature confirming receipt of <br /> letter). <br /> <br /> The applicant has notified all property owners and/or occupants <br /> within 100 feet of the subject property and has submitted proof of <br /> notification as part of her application. <br /> <br /> CONDITIONS: <br /> <br /> 1. When dropping-off and picking-up children, parents should be considerate to <br /> the residents of Maxwell Lane. <br /> 2. Parents who will patronize the large family day care home should not block, <br /> turn around in or park their cars on neighbors' properties. <br /> 3. Parents who will patronize the large family day care home shall obey all <br /> traffic laws. <br /> 4. Parents shall not allow their child/children to cross or play on neighbors' ~ <br /> properties. <br /> 5. Parents shall supervise their child/children at all t(mes when picking-up and <br /> dropping-off. When crossing the street parents shall hold their <br /> child's/children's hands. <br /> 6. Noise must be kept to a minimum when picking-up and/or dropping-off. <br /> Therefore, parents shall not honk their horns unnecessarily. <br /> 7. The applicant shall maintain an open communication channel with the <br /> neighbors. If requested, the applicant shall meet with the <br /> neighbors/residents of Maxwell Lane on an as-needed basis to address any <br /> concerns or complaints the neighbors may have regarding the large family <br /> day care home. <br /> <br /> i([t7 5{iddtefield Road Redwood City.
