Com ve.opment Services NOTICE OF OFFICIAL ACTION
IPih/cmitorni.~_._o I
Planning and Redevelopment ~
for or requested permit(s) for alterations. No permits shall be issued
which will alter the residence structurally, as related to the large
family day care home.

4. Provisions have been made to provide, at a minimum, one off-street parking
space per employee of driving age not living in the home. The residential
driveway approach is acceptable if the parking space will not conflict with any
required child drop off/pick-up area and does not block the public sidewalk or
right-of-way.

The applicant's driveway is wide enough to accommodate two cars
side by side. One of these driveway spaces will be provided for
employee parking and the other space will be dedicated for pick-up
and drop-off purposes.

5. Residences located on major arterial or collector streets must provide a drop-
off/pick-up area designed to prevent vehicles from backing onto the major
arterial or collector streets. The residential driveway may be used as the
drop-off/pick-up area.

The applicant's residence is in a cul-de-sac and not in a major arterial
or collector street as defined by the City of Redwood City traffic
engineer. As a result, this condition is not applicable. As stated
above, the applicant's driveway is wide enough to accommodate two
cars side by side. One of these driveway spaces will be provided for
employee parking and the other space will be dedicated for pick-up
and drop-off purposes. The residential driveway~ if in use, will not
cause vehicles to back-up on to the nearby collector street
(Edgewood Road)~

6. The provider shall comply with all applicable regulations of the Fire
Department regarding health and safety requirements. State Community
Care Licensing will request a fire inspection.

A site inspection was made by the City of Redwood City fire inspector
on October 24~ 2001. Clearance from the Redwood City Fire
Department was obtained for this proposed large family day care
home on November 27, 2001.

7. The facility will be operated in a manner which will not adversely affect
adjoining residences and not be detrimental to the health, safety, and
welfare of the nei_~hborhood. Reasonable noise standards will be maintained
during day care operating hours.

I017 Middlefieid Road Redwood City, California 94063 ~6501 78ti-7234 FAX 780-0128
