All IP telephones should be GigE, meaning that they can supply a <br /> switched Ethernet port to an attached computer at Gigabit Ethernet <br /> speeds. <br /> 11.2. The PC Attendant Console will provide receptionistJoperator functionality <br /> with an on screen busy lamp field that shows status of telephones across <br /> any networked locations_ The telephone system will automatically re-direct <br /> any operator calls to a back-up reception position, see 11.3, if the PC <br /> Console were to lock up, fail or require rebooting. <br /> 11.3. Backup Receptionist or Departmental Answering Point telephone - This <br /> telephone will provide coverage to department operators and provide full <br /> operator functionality in cases of emergency, call coverage or when a PC <br /> console needs to be restarted. This should be a standard multi-line <br /> telephone with attached Busy Lamp Field or a hardware based (non-PC) <br /> attendant console. <br /> 11.4. Staff (standard) telephones will be a multiline set capable of supporting at <br /> least two extension appearances. At a minimum, the following features, <br /> accessible via fixed or soft feature keys, shall be available: internal and <br /> PSTN dial-tone, hold, transfer, message waiting indicator, ad-hoc five <br /> party conference call, system speed dial access, personal speed dial <br /> access, call forwarding, redial, mute, toggle speaker and forward to voice <br /> mail.
