City Council Committee Reports <br /> Council Member Howard spoke about being on the Heart (Housing Endowment and <br /> Regional Trust) Board of San Mateo County, working to make Housing available to all <br /> income levels in San Mateo County, and how they are looking for a new Executive <br /> Director and whether they may change their organizational structure or not. She also <br /> noted they will be having a "Ten Years, a Thousand Doors" luncheon on Friday, May <br /> 15th to celebrate building and housing. She recognized and thanked the roughly 200 <br /> volunteers, including families, who helped clean up debris along and in the waterways <br /> at Docktown despite the weather on Saturday. She noted that there were many <br /> volunteers from outside the immediate area and recognized staff for their excellent <br /> marking outreach through social media work in getting the word out. <br /> Council Member Aguirre spoke attending the Metropolitan Transportation Commission <br /> meetings and how they get the Maps of the Month from TomTom and in a map of <br /> downtown rush hour traffic worldwide, San Francisco is ranked number two for being <br /> congested during downtown rush hour traffic in the country. She also noted that she <br /> was appointed as the Legislative Committee Chair at the Transportation Commission <br /> and will be receiving an award by the Legislative Caucus that she is the President for. <br /> She spoke about two events this week that she and the Mayor attended. <br /> Vice Mayor Foust noted that she and City Clerk Vonderlinden were at an event called <br /> Ready, Set, Succeed organized by Jackie Speier's Office at the Sobrato Center, and it <br /> was designed for women who are small business owners and it was truly inspirational <br /> with various speakers from local companies and representatives from the State. <br /> Mayor Gee noted that he and Council Member Howard attended a volunteer <br /> appreciation luncheon at the Veterans Memorial Senior Center. <br /> C.
