Consideration of two-way stop signs on Allerton Street at Howland Street (701) COUNCILWOMAN BUCHAN LEFT THE DAIS AT TIDS TIME AND TOOK A SEAT IN THE AUDIENCE IN ORDER TO ADDRESS THE COUNCIL AS A CITIZEN OF REDWOOD CITY WHOSE PROPERTY WAS IN THE AREA AFFECTED BY THE PROPOSED RESOLUTION. REPORT: City Engineer, August 28, 1995 City Engineer Luck presented the staff report and advised that two-way stop signs on Allerton and Howland Streets were needed based on the following findings: safety (park proximity) and consistency (there are stop signs on the other three corners of the park.) Judy Buchan, 1126 Allerton Street, Redwood City, advised Council that the proposed two-way stop signs met the "warrants" of common sense, would protect children coming and going to the park, were consistent with the other 3 corners around the park, and urged Council to approve the signs.
