CALL TO ORDER - 7:02 P.M., Mayor Gasparini presiding <br /> 2. ROLL CALL <br /> Council Members present: Buchan, Hartnett, Howard, La Berge, and Mayor Gasparini <br /> Council Members absent: Sanfilipo and Steinfeld <br /> Staff present: Everett, Boland, Jorgenson and Centeno, Griffiths, Light, Church, <br /> Hartman, Griffith <br /> 3. PUBLIC COMMENT <br /> A. Richard Silver, 824 Winslow, Redwood City, told the Council Members he personally <br /> did not want the new City Hall to be just an office building or located at the corporation <br /> yard. He wanted a City Hall with character, ambiance, flavor, a civic building the people <br /> of Redwood City could be proud of, just as they are proud of their award winning <br /> Library. <br /> B. Don Saye, 2021 Broadway, Redwood City, also spoke in favor of the new City Hall and <br /> the Council Facilities Committee that brought each phase of the building selection <br /> process back to the Council and the community for their decision each step of the way. <br /> Mr. Saye addressed those who last week asked the Council to stop that public process <br /> and begin it anew stating "Redwood City 'has suffered the slings and arrows of <br /> outrageous fortune' far too long." <br /> 4. SUBJECT <br /> A. Proclaiming National Red Ribbon Week, October 23 - 27, 1995, to heighten awareness of the <br /> enormous drug problems facing every community, and to promote drug-free lifestyles for <br /> America's youth; <br /> MINUTE BOOK NO. 53 <br /> Page No. 353 <br /> , ... ... ~...__...
