MATTERS OF COUNCIL INTEREST <br /> This item limited to fifteen minutes. <br /> A. Councilwoman Steinfeld reminded everyone that the Trivia Bee would take place Friday, <br /> October 13, 1995, at Canada College beginning at with dinner at 6:30 p.m., and tickets <br /> were $20.00. <br /> B. Councilwoman Howard announced that "Make a Difference Day", October 28, 1995, <br /> would be celebrated in Redwood City at Hoover School with parents, teachers, children, <br /> neighbors, Neighborhood Associations, Redwood City Police officers, Fire Department, <br /> City staff and anyone else who wanted to join in the painting, cleaning, repairing, fixing <br /> up and educating the surrounding community on how to keep their school clean and safe. <br /> Councilwoman Howard stated that "we are going to try to make a difference that day", and <br /> a neighborhood watch and patrol would be established to help Hoover School from that <br /> day forward. Councilwoman Howard said there would be a barbecue for everyone who <br /> participated and advised that this project might lead to more projects to help Redwood <br /> City schools and possibly a community award for Redwood City. Councilwoman Howard <br /> asked that anyone who wanted more information on "Make a Difference Day" projects to <br /> please leave a message for her on her City Hall phone number 780-7218. <br /> ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- <br /> 8.
