<br /> Chairwoman Dixon expressed the Committee's intentions to become involved with <br /> other boards, committees and commissions on traffic issues, especially the Planning <br /> Commission. <br /> Vice Mayor Hartnett stated he believed the Planning Commission's role could be <br /> described as a macro one, and the Traffic Advisory Committee's role described as a <br /> micro one, and the broader policy questions were more appropriately addressed by the <br /> Planning Commission. <br /> Councilwoman Howard asked that the Traffic Advisory Committee work with <br /> Hoover School on developing a drop off area. <br /> MEMO 10/17/95 <br /> Council stated that traffic concerns were important quality of life issues, and <br /> complimented the TAC on its presence in the neighborhoods and its extensive work <br /> plan. <br /> 6) Historic Resources Advisory Committee; <br /> REPORT: Annual Work Program <br /> Committee Members present: Chairman Ken Rolandelli <br /> Chairman Rolandelli described all twelve items on the Annual Work Program, and <br /> advised that the Historic Walking Tour Book will be available at a grand unveiling, <br /> November 14, 1995, at the Forester's Hall. <br /> Council congratulated Mr. Rolandelli and the Committee for its positive impacts and <br /> its plans to work with other boards, committees and commissions. <br /> Mayor Gasparini remarked on the very successful annual Redwood City Heritage <br /> Association celebration on Sunday, October 15, 1995, honoring Dr. Jeffrey Filippi. <br /> In response to Council questions, Chairman Rolandelli described the criteria for <br /> historic designation and advised that the Committee was going to be very proactive. <br /> Mayor Gasparini commended all the volunteers serving on Redwood City's boards, <br /> committees, commissions, in the library and park and recreation centers, stating the <br /> volunteers spent hundreds of thousands of hours doing millions of dollars worth of <br /> service for the City.
