ORAL COMMUNICATIONS <br /> A. LaVerne Atherly, 515 Cringle, Redwood City, advised the Council he was speaking on <br /> behalf of the residents of the Redwood Shores neighborhood, and expressed concerns <br /> regarding the following: the Belmont School District's proposed Redwood Shores school <br /> not being built to their original standards due to a financial shortfall that Mr. Atherly <br /> attributed to the Board's payment of$3 million to Redwood City; parks begun in 1985 have <br /> not been completed; there has been no progress in traffic mitigation nor permanent police <br /> presence; fire protection was dependent on South County; the infrastructure was being <br /> degraded; and the City's actions disregarded the residents' wishes including the TCI boxes, <br /> Westport and the 150 feet height limit for Electronic Arts. <br /> B. Joe Steinfeld, 850 Main Street, Redwood City, asked the newly constituted Council to <br /> delay any action on Redevelopment bonds until all the facts were known and until the <br /> electorate had had its say next year. <br /> MINUTE BOOK NO. 53 <br /> Page No. 441 <br /> -- <br />
