Councilwoman Gasparini reported on the very successful Heritage Association <br /> dinner on September 25th and encouraged everyone to accept responsibility <br /> for preserving the heritage of Redwood City. <br /> E. Councilwoman Gasparini reported on her discussions with Mayor Teglia and <br /> community policing officers of Daly City regarding the problems of graffiti: <br /> how to stop it, and how to divert the people responsible for graffiti into <br /> more productive activities. <br /> F. Councilwoman Gasparini encouraged everyone to join the Pride and <br /> Beautification Committee's clean-up on Rolison Road, the morning of <br /> October 30, 1993. <br /> G. Councilwoman La Berge discussed her sadness at the dissension expressed <br /> during the Council meeting and challenged everyone to put aside their <br /> differences and do what is best for Redwood City. <br /> H. Councilwoman Steinfeld advised that the Airport Land Use Committee would <br /> meet at 4:00 P.M., September 30th, in the Burlingame City Hall, and asked <br /> that the City be represented. <br /> MEMO 9/28/93 <br /> I. Councilman Greenalch spoke about the ongoing problem of unsightly weeds and <br /> unattended property, and suggested that the Council, during the next budget <br /> cycle, create a strike force with two or three current employees to focus <br /> on irresponsible landowners. Councilman Claire suggested a Councilmember as <br /> part of that strike force. <br /> MEMO 9/28/93 <br /> J. Mayor Buchan announced the first meeting of the Rolison Road Task Force at <br /> 7:00 P.M., September 28th. <br /> K. Mayor Buchan reported on the Council of Cities meeting she attended on <br /> Friday and the excellent presentation on the ADA by Eldon Luce.
