STAFF REPORTS <br />A. Study Session with the Senior Affairs Commission (302-05) <br />1) Introduction by Chairman of the Senior Affairs Commission <br />REPORT: Senior Affairs Commission, City Council, Joint Study Session, <br /> October 4, 1993 <br />Chairman Anthony read the mission statement: The general objective of <br />the Senior Affairs Commission shall be to encourage, foster, facilitate, <br />establish and maintain programs for the enhancement of all matters <br />related to the social, economic, personal and physical well-being of the <br />City's senior population. <br />Chairman Anthony introduced the other members of the Commission in <br />attendance: Hector Berglund, Tom Jordan, Geary Lloyd, Gladys Sharp. <br />Commissioners Metzdorf and Truscelli were unable to attend. <br />2) Statistics and Senior Survey <br />Mary Kucala, Park and Recreation Community Leisure Services, provided the <br />report on the Senior Survey and described the geographic areas where <br />most seniors live in Redwood City. <br />3) Review of Center Operations <br />Mary Kucala, Park and Recreation Supervisor, Veterans/Seniors Memorial <br />Center, described the services provided by the Senior Center, including: <br /> SPECIAL MEETING AND STUDY SESSION MINUTES <br />MINUTE BOOK NO. 52 October 4, 1993 <br />Page No. 14 Page 4 <br />
