<br />RESOLUTION NO. 12097 VACATING PORTION OF FRANKLIN STREET AND RETAINING A <br />PUBLIC SERVICE EASEMENT THEREI~~ AND VACATING A STORM WATER EASEMENT AND <br />A SEWER AND WATER EASEMENT WITHIN 'THE AREA IN THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br />BOUNDED BY JAMES AVENUE, THE RAILROAD TRACKS, JEFFERSON AVENUE AND EL <br />CAMINO REAL <br />ADOPTED BY UNANIMOUS ROLL CALL VOTE. <br />--------------------------------------------------------------------------------- <br />7. MATTERS OF COUNCIL INTEREST <br />A. Councilwoman Steinfeld described the EPA conference she attended on October <br />28th and 29th on wetlands mitigation and Redwood City's state of the art <br />technology, including GIS. Councilwoman Steinfeld announced that Traffic <br />Committee member Rick Silver had been appointed to the countywide Bicycle <br />Committee chaired by Lisa Dondick. <br />B. Councilwoman Gasparini reported on the first meeting of four scheduled <br />focus groups which will meet to develop communications, a stronger economic <br />base for the City, Chamber and businesses in Redwood City. The first <br />meeting will meet on November 9th and focus on hotels, motels and <br />restaurants. <br />C. Councilman Sanfilipo reported on the meeting of the Housing Rehabilitation <br />Loan Program Committee to be held on November 9th. Councilman Sanfilipo <br />advised that anyone interested in supporting a Christmas Parade should <br />contact the Peninsula Celebration Association. <br />D. Mayor Buchan invited her colleagues to attend the Council of Cities <br />Legislative breakfast on November 13th, and the Council of Cities monthly <br />business meeting on November 19th which will feature Redwood City's Project <br />Read Director David Miller. Mayor Buchan described her meeting with the <br />residents of the Oakwood/Roble neighborhood and their concerns with <br />Fl ei shman Park. Mayor Buchan announced that the Rolison Road Task Force <br />would meet at 7 P.M. November 10th at City Hall. <br />---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- <br />8. STAFF REPORTS <br />A. Sequoia Station Final Map (203-09, 1401-06) <br />REPORT: City Engineer, November 1, 1993 <br />City Engineer Luck presented the staff report and described ownership of <br />areas in the Sequoia Station Development, including the SamTrans/CalTrain <br />parking garage. Mr. Luck described the reasons for reserved easements and <br />their public interest. Redevelopment Agency Attorney Hildebrand described <br />the right of prejudgment possession granted to the Redevelopment Agency by <br />the Courts regarding Franklin Street and the fair compensation already on <br />deposit.
