In response to <br /> Councilman Greenalch's questions, Mr. La Torra and City Attorney Schricker <br /> provided descriptions of policies and procedures of the Redwood City <br /> Building Department and legal interpretations of the facts of this matter <br /> and the Uniform Building Code. Mr. Schricker advised that the City had <br /> already prevailed in court on this issue. Councilman Greenalch cited <br /> Finance Director Ponty's report describing the City's immunity under <br /> Government Code Section 818.6, and advised he was now satisfied that the <br /> City had met its legal obligations in this matter.
