Jefferson Avenue Underpass Project (1602-09) <br /> REPORT: City Engineer, January 14, 1994 <br /> City Engineer Luck presented the latest staff report on this $11 million <br /> dollar project including current situation of funding, proposed land <br /> acquisition of two parcels, the proposed detour, and the charter and <br /> membership of the Task Force and the date of their first meeting and their <br /> agenda, with a time for public input. <br /> Councilman Greenalch reminded everyone that when the Task Force was first <br /> decided upon, the Council advised they wished to have representation from <br /> the Bicycle Advisory Committee on the Task Force (subcommittee of the <br /> Redwood City Traffic Advisory Committee), specifically Lisa Dondick. <br /> City Engineer Luck advised that the Redwood City Traffic Advisory Committee <br /> was already a part of the Task Force, but Lisa Dondick would be added as a <br /> representative in her own right. <br /> MEMO 1/25/94 <br /> Councilwoman Steinfeld suggested that there be more participation from the <br /> downtown community and other interested parties before any money is spent <br /> on this project. <br /> In answer to Councilwoman La Berge's questions regarding process and <br /> financing, Senior Civil Engineer Lee described the qualification based <br /> selection process, the Brooks Act, the mini-Brooks Act, the negotiation <br /> process and the outside sources for funding the project. <br /> City Engineer Luck advised that ground breaking was scheduled for the <br /> Spring of 1995. <br /> --------------------------------------------------------------------------- <br /> At 11:00 P.M. the Council must vote to extend the meeting by a unanimous <br /> vote or adjourn. <br /> M/S: STEINFELD/ TO EXTEND THE MEETING FIVE MINUTES. <br /> MOTION DIED FOR LACK OF A SECOND. <br /> M/S: SANFILIPO/ TO HOLD THIS ITEM OVER TO THE MEETING OF <br /> JANUARY 31, 1994 AND LIMIT IT TO 30 MINUTËS. . <br /> Regular Meeting Minutes <br /> January 24, 1994 <br />MINUTE BOOK NO. 52 Page 12 <br />Page No. 114 <br />
