Joe Steinfeld, Main Street merchant, read portions of the letter Police Chief Guardino had sent him dated January 17, 1994, and addressed some of the concerns raised by Chief Guardino regarding the 369-COPS number Mr. Steinfeld and Mr. Sandoval were encouraging citizens to call. B. Ed Bailey, 3215 Page Street, asked that the Council review the random gunfire problem in the same manner the Taco Bell problems were addressed, and asked that the Fire Department again provide personnel to educate residents on earthquake safety.
