PUBLIC HEARINGS <br />A. Public Hearing - Appeal of the Zoning Administrator's approval of a <br />Use Permit to allow a 24,000 square foot County Office use at 1260-1290 <br />Oddstad - appellant Guckenheimer Enterprises, Inc., 1450 Oddstad Drive, <br />Redwood City (203-10) <br />1. REPORT: Acting Planning Director, January 24, 1994 <br /> Acting Planning Director Passinisi presented the staff report with <br /> overheads, and in response to Council questions described the County's <br /> attempt to meet the parking requirements with offsite parking. Mr. <br /> Passinisi explained that the Planning Department was adding one more <br /> condition to the Use Permit: The County to show proof by February 28, <br /> 1994 that they had secured the total 161 required parking spaces, all <br /> within 900 feet of the building, or the Use Permit and the Variance <br /> would be void. Mr. Passinisi stated the County had agreed to this <br /> cond it ion. In answer to Council questions, Mr. Passinisi described the <br /> truck traffic and loading and unloading, deliveries, bus stops, foot <br /> traffic paths, current parking patterns, and that this approval had been <br /> "a close call." <br /> Robert H. Barrett, representing SBN, Inc., owners of 1260-1290 Oddstad <br /> Drive spoke on behalf of the owners and described traffic in and around <br /> the buildings. <br />2.
