ORAL COMMUNICATIONS <br /> A. Maria Diaz-Vivian, 438 Cedar Street, Redwood City, described the <br /> numerous and dangerous random shootings near her home. Mrs. Diaz- <br /> Vivian asked Council to establish an interagency agreement with the San <br /> Mateo County Sheriff's Department providing for a response by Sheriff's <br /> Deputies to calls in the Redwood City downtown area when the Redwood City <br /> Police are busy elsewhere. Mrs. Diaz-Vivian said she would support a <br /> reward be offered to bring the dangerous practice of random gunfire to an <br /> end. <br /> Councilman Sanfilipo advised that he and Supervisor Barrales would be <br /> holding their second meeting to coordinate law enforcement efforts in the <br /> Middlefield Road area on February 9, 1994 and the Redwood City Police <br /> Department and the San Mateo County Sheriff's Department will be part of <br /> that meeting. <br /> MINUTE BOOK NO. 52 <br /> Page No. 117 <br /> . - 0-_- ' <br />
