As part of this task, EKI will develop and
present the following information.
Water Supplv Proiection
Per CWC 10631b), the 2015 UWMP must identify and quantify, to the extent practicable, the
existing and planned sources of water available to the supplier for the next 20 years, in five-
year increments, and during various water-year types. Further, CWC 10631(c)(2)requires water
suppliers to identify and describe water sources that may not be consistently available, given
specific legal,environmental,water quality,or climatic factors.
To correspond with the water demand evaluation, to the extent appropriate, the 2015 UWMP
will incorporate information regarding the source, nature and projected availability of the Cits
current and future water supply based upon information provided by the City, SFPUC and
BAWSCA, and confirmed by EKI. The 2015 UWMP wil) also discuss (1) potential future water
supplies considered by the City to be viable (e.g., additional recycled water, conjunctive use of
groundwater, water transfers, desalination); (2)potentia! effects of water quality on
management strategies; (3) any current or planned future water projects or water transfers;
and(4)supply reliability and/or constraints of the Cits existing SFPUC allocation.
EKI will review information contained within the 2010 UWMP to establish historic and revised
water supply source and reliability assumptions. To the extent that there are identifiable
inconsistencies or changed conditions between historic documents and current requirements
or conditions (e.g., the current drought) for assessing water supply reliability, EKI will identify
such inconsistencies and coordinate closely with the City with respect to how to include them
as part of the regional water supplyeliability evaluation, if practicable.
Page 20
Redwaod Gty Pu61ic Works Serviees Department 2015 UWMP (EKI BS-078)
ATTY/AGR.2015.248/EKI - Development of 2015 Urban Water Management Plan
