EXHIBIT "A" <br /> SCOPE OF SERVICES <br /> Consultant shall provide sanitary sewer flow monitoring services and data logging <br /> as part of the City's sanitary sewer annual flow monitoring program as described <br /> in more detail below. Services shall be provided at the thirty-two (32) sites listed <br /> below. <br /> Task Description <br /> Task 1. Perform field reconnaissance and document review <br /> Consultant shall review available plans and documents, and conduct field <br /> reconnaissance of the proposed flow monitoring s�es identified by the City. <br /> The reconnaissance shall assess hydraulic conditions, manhole access, <br /> traffic control requirements, and safety issues for each site. No modifications <br /> to the proposed meter sites shall be made without prior review and approval <br /> by the City. <br /> De�rerable: Consultant shall submit documentation of site reconnaissance <br /> and final flow monitoring sites to the City by December 1, 2015. <br /> Task 2. Installation /Calibration I Maintenance!Removal of Flow Monitors: <br /> Consultant shall install ten (10) open channel flow monitors, twenty three <br /> (23) data loggers, three (3) closed pipe flow monitors and two {2) rain gauges <br /> for a period of sixty {6Q) days starting no later than December 4, 2015, with <br /> an option to extend the monitoring on a weekly basis up to one additional <br /> month. The open channel flow meters will be area-velocity type capable of <br /> measuring flows and flow depths under surcharge conditions. Closed pipe <br /> flow meters will use ultrasonic sensors mounted to the outside of the pipe to <br /> measure the signal transit time in both directions and the velocity of the fluid. <br /> Data loggers will determine the flow rate by measuring the elapsed time to fill a <br /> known volume. Pipe diameters will range from approximately 4 to 48 inches. <br /> Rain gauges will be tipping bucket type capable of recording to 0.01 <br /> inches.
