EXHIBIT "A" SCOPE OF SERVICES Consultant shall provide sanitary sewer flow monitoring services as part of the City's sanitary sewer annual flow monitoring program as described in more detail below. Services shall be provided at the eleven (11)sites listed below. Task Description Task 1. Perform field reconnaissance and document review Consultant shall review available plans and documents, and conduct field reconnaissance of the proposed flow monitoring sites identified by the City. The reconnaissance shall assess hydraulic conditions, manhole access, traffic control requirements, and safety issues for each site. No modifications to the proposed meter sites shall be made without prior review and approval by the City. Deliverable: Consultant shall submit documentation of site reconnaissance and final flow monitoring sites to the City by November 13, 2015. Task 2. Installation/Calibration/ Maintenance/ Removal of Flow Monitors: Consultant shall install eleven (11) flow meters and one (1) rain gauge for a period of sixty (60) days starting no later than December 4, 2015, with an option to extend the monitoring on a weekly basis up to one additional month. The flow meters will be area-velocity type capable of ineasuring flows and flow depths under surcharge conditions. Pipe diameters will range from approximately 8 to 24 inches. Rain gauges will be tipping bucket type capable of recording to 0.01 inches. The flow monitoring locations are listed as follows: • Meter 1: JAMES AVENUE(BETWEEN ELWOOD AND DUANE) (15-inch diameter) • Meter 2: JAMES AVENUE AND EL CAMINO REAL(15-inch diameter) • Meter 3: ROOSEVELT AVENUE AND VIRGINIA AVENUE (15-inch diameter) • Meter 4: ROOSEVELTAVENUE AND JUNIPERO AVENUE (15-inch diameter) � Meter 5: ROOSEVELT AVENUE AND JUNIPERO AVENUE (21-inch diameter) • Meter 6: HUDSON STREETAND LINCOLN AVENUE (24-inch diameter) • Meter 7: HUDSON STREET IN FRONT OF HOUSE NO. 1131 (12-inch diameter) • Meter 8: PALM AVENUE AND HUDSON STREET(8-inch diameter) • Meter 9: PALM AVENUE AND HUDSON STREET(10-inch diameter) • Meter 10: REDWOOD AVENUE AND JUNIPERO AVENUE (15-inch diameter) • Meter 11: REDWOOD AVENUE ANDJUNIPERO AVENUE (15-inch diameter) The flow meters and the rain gauge shall be installed at the approved sites and visited weekly during the monitoring period. Consultant shall report to the City within 24 hours of each site visit if any meter has malfunctions or otherwise fails to provide good data, or if changes in site conditions have impacted collection of good data. Field calibration data (independent measurements of flow depth and velocity) shall be collected throughout the monitoring period for each meter to verify monitor accuracy over a range of flow depths. The flow data will be collected at 5-minute intervals and reported at 15-minute intervals.
