(209) <br /> MIS: LA BERGE/SANFILIPO TO APPOINT ZULEMA RADZIMINSKI TO AN <br /> UNEXPIRED TERM EXPIRING APRIL 30, 1998. <br /> CARRIED BY UNANIMOUS VOICE VOTE. <br /> Mayor Gasparini announced that Zulema Radziminski was appointed to a term expiring on <br /> April 30, 1998, on the Fair Oaks Community Center Advisory Board. <br /> MINUTE ORDER NO. 95-132 <br /> Mayor Gasparini reminded her colleagues that there were still positions available on the <br /> City's boards, committees and commissions, and asked that they go out into the community <br /> with that information and continually recruit interested citizens to join the City's boards, <br /> committees and commissions. <br /> ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- <br /> 6. MATTERS OF COUNCIL INTEREST <br /> A. Councilwoman Howard described the very successful 4th of July parade and celebration <br /> attended by 75,000 people, and thanked the Peninsula Celebration Association, BFI and <br /> City staff for all their hard work. Councilwoman Howard thanked City staff who prepared <br /> the 1929 Model A Ford (which won an award for Best Municipal Float) and or <br /> participated in the parade: Roger Cain, Steve Mitchum, Dave Rodriguez, Darrell Tressler, <br /> Larry Barwacz, Bob Love and William Adams; and the people who decorated it with <br /> them, Frank Wilkins and his wife and children, Nancy Bey Little, Jean Roehm, and <br /> Councilwoman Howard's in-laws, Hope and Bernard Howard. The employees who <br /> cleaned the parade route before and after the event were: Vijay Nand, Larry Conlu, <br /> Alfredo Romero, Don Nickel, Ron Ruppert, Matt Cutler, Sione Latu, Jim Chandra, Hal <br /> Springer, Ralph Pacheco and Rich Boyer.
