Proclamation declaring Arbor Day, April 23, 1994; (301-04) <br /> Mayor Buchan read the proclamation declaring Arbor Day in Redwood City, April 23, 1994, and <br /> presented it to Pauline Truscelli, member of the Parks and Recreation Commission, and <br /> representative of The Natives Daughters of the Golden West, Bonita Parlor No. 10. Mrs. <br /> Truscelli described the importance of Arbor Day in Redwood City and her pet project of "Tree <br /> Plaques" in honor of important citizens Mrs. Truscelli introduced 1994's recipient of the annual <br /> Tree Plaque, Marie Amaya. Mrs. Truscelli thanked Director Griffiths, Superintendent Hartman, <br /> Arborist Mann, Supervisor Kucala and all the Parks employees for their support of this program. <br /> Mrs. Truscelli invited everyone to attend the Arbor Day celebration on Saturday, April 23, 1994, <br /> at 2:00 P,M., in Red Morton Park. <br /> MEMO 4/19/94 <br /> Mayor Buchan called on Joe Steinfeld who submitted a speaker's card. <br /> Joe Steinfeld, 850 Main Street, Redwood City, asked Council to reconsider a project that will cut <br /> down 14 mature shade trees in downtown Redwood City. <br /> Mayor Buchan told Mr. Steinfeld that his comments were not related to the Arbor Day <br /> proclamation and asked him to please sit down. <br /> City Manager Everett advised that the project Mr. Steinfeld was referring to would be coming <br /> before the Council at a future date, <br /> Over Mr. Steinfeld's continuing commentary, City Attorney Schricker stated, Mr. Steinfeld <br /> please sit down.
