SPECIAL ORDERS OF THE DAY <br /> A. Clyde Clark, Post 2310, Veterans of Foreign Wars, presented awards of appreciation for <br /> outstanding service to Police Sgt. Scott Warner, Fire Capt. Gary McFall and Firefighter Mike <br /> Mozan; as part of the Post's community service program and upon recommendation ofthe Chief <br /> of Police and the Fire Chief. (301-05) <br /> Mr. Clyde Clark presented certificates of appreciation to Fire Captain Gary McFall and <br /> Firefighter Mike Mozan, who thanked the Veterans of Foreign Wars for the honor. At the <br /> urging of Mayor Buchan, Captain McFall and Firefighter Mozan described their efforts in saving <br /> the life of a victim they found in a burning automobile. <br /> The overflow audience filled with members of the fire and police departments gave them a loud <br /> and long ovation. <br /> Mr. Clyde Clark presented a certificate of appreciation of Sgt. Scott Warner, who thanked the <br /> Veterans of Foreign Wars for the honor on behalf of all Redwood City Police Officers and <br /> personnel. <br /> Sgt. Warner also received a long and loud ovation from the overflow crowd of citizens and police <br /> and fire personnel. <br /> MEMO 4/19/94 <br /> B. Proclamation declaring Older Americans Month, May, 1994; (301-04) <br /> Mayor Buchan read the proclamation declaring Older Americans Month, May 1994, and <br /> presented it to Barbara Bocho1t, member of the San Mateo County Commission on Aging who <br /> thanked the Council for its support. <br /> MEMO 4/19/94 <br /> C. Proclamation declaring Week ofthe Young Child, April 17-23, 1994; <br /> Councilwoman Gasparini, Chairwoman of the Child Care Advisory Committee, read the <br /> proclamation and presented it to Kristen Anderson, member of the Child Care Advisory <br /> Committee and Child Care Coordinator Specialist for the City of Redwood City. Mrs. Anderson <br /> introduced Karen Peterson and Bobbi Lewis ofthe Child Care Advisory Committee.
