<br /> June 16 which are sponsored by the Port of Redwood City. There will be 12 concerts this <br /> y~ar and two will be food drives to help the needy. <br /> D. Mary Parden, Schooner Bay Drive, spoke about the need for the Redwood Shores <br /> Community Center/School and encouraged the Council to work with the Belmont School <br /> District. <br /> E. Mary Lou Cameron, Waterside Circle, encouraged Council to proceed with joint venture <br /> with Belmont for the Community Center/School. <br /> F. Todd Doersch, Marlin Court, thanked Council for their support in negotiations with the <br /> Belmont School District and discussed the Fair Oaks Community Center as an example of <br /> successful government collaboration regarding the Center partnership between Redwood <br /> City and the County of San Mateo. <br /> G. Christa Krock, Newport Circle, emphasized the importance of a school in Redwood <br /> Shores. <br /> H. Councilman Claire, advised that the Council is working hard for a mutually agreeable <br /> resolution between Redwood City and the Belmont School District. <br /> I. Councilwoman LaBerge, council representative on the negotiating team, thanked <br /> everyone present from Redwood Shores and stated that the Council is solidly behind this <br /> issue as she and Park and Recreation Director, Peter Griffiths, go into negotiations. <br /> 1. Mayor Buchan, stressed that City negotiators are working very hard for the Community <br /> Center/School and they have informed the Belmont School Board that Redwood City <br /> wants this project. <br /> K. Councilwoman Gasparini, discussed the importance of asking questions in order to get <br /> the facts about the Community Center/School. <br /> 2.
