Morning backup is awful!
At Glennan at the junction of Farm Hill you have a small island that’s parked there. We
do not need that island. Take it out
I live on Farm Hill and walk my three kids (ages 3‐9) and a puppy at least twice a day to
school and park. THANK YOU for the redesign and your efforts to continually improve
safety. Thank you for:
o Making it easier and safer to get out of my driveway (even during rush hour)
o Redesign of cars being further from pedestrians. I now allow my kids to walk
down the street without me holding each ones hand
o The ability to bike on the street (it was a death wish before redesign)
o Slower traffic
o Safety of community
o Much safer turning into PCC. Before redesign, it was unsafe to slow and stop in a
lane (I was rear‐ended once) to turn. With turn lane, it makes it much safer.
Traffic is backed up going towards 280 starting from 4:30pm (10+ cars)
o Traffic from 280 to Emerald Hill using one lane has not been problematic in my
experience.
o It is difficult to back out of my house because there is only one lane and too
many cars on the road. Before I could back into one lane while the other lane is
used.
(Glennan intersection) Add an electronic stop sign that shows pictures of car crashes –
may encourage drivers to slow down.
(Farm Hill turning right on Glennan) Make longer dashed right hand turn lane from Farm
Hill turning onto Glennan
Farm Hill and Brandy Rock Way/McGarvey
(Glennan and Farm Hill intersection) Add a “Slow, School Way” sign with blinking lights
to protect kids walking home from school
8.A. - Page 54
