EXHIBIT "A" <br /> SCOPE OF SERVICES <br /> A. PROJECT DESCRIPTION <br /> The City of Redwood City seeks to rehabilitate the two (2) sanitary sewer pump <br /> stations located at the Redwood Shores Area namely: P.S. No. 13 and P.S. No. 16 <br /> in order to improve the reliability of the wastewater services. This project involves <br /> the engineering and construction services by qualified engineering consulting firm. <br /> The Consultant will prepare the plans and specifications, cost estimates, contract <br /> documents for bidding, provide bid support and construction services and prepare <br /> the final as-built drawings for the Sanitary Sewer Pump Station Rehabilitation Project <br /> (P.S. No. 13 and P.S. No. 16). <br /> The project includes the following work activities for each of the following sanitary <br /> sewer pump station. <br /> B. SCOPE OF IMPROVEMENTS <br /> Pump Station #13 (located on Redwood Shores Parkwav, North of Shoreline <br /> Drive <br /> 1. Rehabilitate existing wet well surFace with new suitable epoxy coating material. <br /> 2. Remove and replace existing submersible pumps with new 5 HP Flygt model <br /> NP 3102 MT, 152 mm impeller diameter, 4" inlet and outlet submersible pumps <br /> or approved equal including pipe assembly and accessories. <br /> 3. Remove and replace the existing pump shoes inside the wet well bottom. It's <br /> the piece that connects to the bottom of the wet well that connects to the <br /> discharge elbow. <br /> 4. Remove and replace existing wet well piping and hardware inside the wet well. <br /> 5. Remove and replace existing valve vaults with precast reinforced concrete box <br /> structures for utility service complete with openings, inserts, floor drain and <br /> hardware. <br /> 6. Remove and replace existing wet well hatch and grate with new Flygt SafeHatch <br /> Model "FLE" with safety grate. <br /> 7. Remove and replace blowers and vents for the wet well and valve vault with <br /> Hartzell fans. Install new Hartzell fan model #A42-4-10-F100GFXFC 286 CFM <br /> or approved equal. <br /> 8. Remove and replace existing wet we II guide rails. <br /> 9. Remove existing wet well ladder. <br /> 10.Remove and replace flow meter, couplings, adapters, pressure gauges, pipe <br /> supports andotherappurtenances. <br /> 11.Remove and replace existing sanitary sewer pump station's motor control <br /> center and update all existing MCC equipment and cabinet with Tesco Motor <br /> Control Center Unit or approved equal.
