11 <br /> <br />H. Proposer must provide detailed equipment specifications for all proposed portables and <br />accessories, including the following information: <br />a. Radio dimensions <br />b. Radio weight with battery <br />c. Antenna type with connector type <br />d. Channel/mode capacity <br />e. General features, transmit/receive parameters, and mechanical specs per EIA/TIA <br />f. Proposer must provide detailed specifications and pricing for these radios and all <br />accessories. <br /> <br />PORTABLE RADIO PACKAGES <br />A. The Proposer must provide pricing of the following portable radio packages to be <br />inclusive of hardware, firmware, software, and accessories. <br />B. The City is interested in purchasing portable radios and accessories that meet the intent <br />of the upcoming NFPA 1802 requirements. The Proposer must provide details on how <br />this can be accomplished by the City, including the features that will be available, and <br />the timelines for availability. <br />C. Portable Radio Package 1- Fire Suppression Personnel <br />a. High tier ruggedized full feature portable radio unit with top and front display and <br />full function keypad <br />i. High-visibility housing <br />ii. Suitable for use in high temperature and fireground environments <br />iii. Controls, i.e. knobs and buttons must be operable with gloved hands wearing <br />firefighting gloves <br />iv. Submersible to 2m for 2 hours <br />v. Front panel programming without the use of a dongle key <br />b. VHF (136-174 MHz), FM analog and Conventional P25 Phase 1 features and <br />operation <br />c. One whip antenna <br />d. One lithium-ion battery with a minimum capacity of 2900 mAh <br />e. One removable belt clip/holster <br />f. 5 year warranty <br /> <br />D. Portable Radio Package 2 – Fire Administration Personnel <br />a. High tier full feature portable radio unit with top and front display and limited <br />function keypad <br />i. Programmable extreme noise reduction features as on the ruggedized radio <br />specified in Portable Radio Package 1 <br />ii. Capable of IP67 immersion to a depth of 1 meter for 30 minutes <br />iii. Must be able to use the same accessories and programming software as the <br />radio in Portable Radio Package 1 <br />b. VHF (136-174 MHz), FM analog and Conventional P25 Phase 1 features and <br />operation <br />c. One whip antenna <br />d. One lithium-ion battery with a minimum capacity of 2900 mAh <br />e.
