MAY BE HARMFUL OR FATAL IF SWALLOWED. CAUSES SKIN AND EYE IRRITATION. HARMFUL If <br />INHALED. Keep trom contact with clothing. Do not taste or swallow. Do not get on skin or in eyes. Avoid breathing dusts or pa1ticulates. <br />Keep container closed. Use only with adequate ventilation. Wash thoroughly after handling. Wear gloves , goggles, faceshiekls, suitable <br />body protection, and NlOSH-approved respiratory protection. as appropriate. FlRST-AID: In Case of Contamination ofSkln or Clo thing: <br />Take off contaminated cloth ing. Rinse ski n immed iately with plenty of water for I 5-ZO minutes. In Case of Contamination of Eyes: <br />Hold eye open and r inse slowly and gently with water for J 5 -20 minutes. Remove coJltact lenses, if present, after the first 5 minutes, <br />then cont inue to rinse eye. I f Inhaled: Move person to fresh air. If person is not breathing. call 911 or an ambulance, then give artificial <br />respirat ion , preferab ly by mouth to mouth , if possib le. Iflngested: Call poison contro l center or doctor immediately for treatment <br />advice. Have person sip a glass of water if ab le to swallow. Do not induce vomiting unless told to do so by the poison contro l cen ter or <br />doctor. Do not give anyth ing by mouth to an unconscious person. Call a poison control center or doctor for treatment adv ice. Have the <br />product container or label with you when calling a poison control center or doctor, or going for treatment. HAZARD T O H UMANS AND DOMESTIC ANLMALS. <br />DANGER: COR ROSfVE: Causes eye damage and irritation to the skin and mucous membrane. l I armful or fatal if swal lowed. Do <br />not get in eyes, on skin or on clothing. Do not breathe dust or spmy mist. May cause skin sensitization reactions to certain <br />individuals. <br />P ERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT: Applicators and other handlers must wear long-s leeved sh i1t and long pants, chemical- <br />resistant gloves, made of any water-proof material , shoes, plus socks and protective eyewear. Discard clothing and other absorbent <br />materials that have been drenched or heavily contaminated with this solutions ofthis product. Do no t reuse such contaminated items. <br />Follow manufacturer's instructions for cleaning and maintaining PPE. If no such instructions for reusable items exist, wash using detergent <br />and hot water. Keep and wash PPE separately for other laundry. <br />USER SAFETY RECOMMEN DATIONS: Persons using this product should wash hands before eating, drinking, chew ing gum, using <br />tobacco or using the toi let. Remove clo th ing immediately if contaminated by the pestic ide. Wash contami nated c lothing thoro ughly and <br />put on clean clothing. Remove PPE immediately ailer use \\~th this product Wash outside of g loves and other equipment before <br />removing. After removal ofPPE, wash thoroughly and change into clean clothing. <br />ENVfRO NMENTAL HAZARDS: Thi s product is toxic to lish. Direct application of Copper Sulfate to water may cause a significant <br />reduction in populations of aquatic invertebrates, plants and fish. Do not treat moi-e than one-half of lake or pond at one time in order to <br />avoid depletion of oxygen from de<.:aying vegetation. Allow 2 weeks between treatme nts tbr oxygen levels to recover. Trout and other <br />spec ies of fish may he killed at application rates recommended on this label, especially in soft or acid waters. However, fish toxicity <br />generally decreases when the hardness of the water increases. Do not contaminate water by cleaning of equipment of disposal of wastes. <br />Consult local State Fish and Game Agency before applying this product to public waters. Penn its may be required before treating such <br />w::~ters. <br />STORAGE AND DIS P OSAL: PROHlB ITIONS: Do not contaminate water, food or feed by storage or disposa l. Open burning and <br />dwnping is prohibited. Do not re -use empty containers. Keep pesticide in origina l container. Do not put concentrate or di lutions of <br />concentrate in food or drink containers. Pesticide wastes are acutely hazardous. Jmproper disposa l of e.xcess pesticide, spray mixture or <br />rinsate is a violation of Federal law. If these wastes cannot be disposed of by use, according to label instructions, contact yo ur State <br />Pesticide or Environmenta l Control Agency , or the Haza rdous Waste Representative at the nearest EPA Regiona l Office for guidance. <br />Completely empty bag of product into application equ ipment. Dispose of empty bag in a sanitary landfill or by incineration. or if a ll owed <br />by State and local authorities, by burning. If burned, avoid smoke. <br />DIRECTIONS FOR USE: It is a violation ofFederal Law to use this product inconsistent with its labe ling. Do not app ly th is p roduct in <br />a way that will contamina te workers or other persons, either directly or tlu·ough drift. On ly protected handlers may be in the area during <br />application. For requirements specific to your State, consult the agency responsible for your pesticide regulations. <br />AGRJCULTURAL USE REQU IREMENTS : Use this product only in accordance with its labeling and with the Worke r Protect ion <br />Standard, CrR Part 170. This standard contains requirements for the protection of agricu ltural workers on farms, forests, nurseries and <br />greenhouses, and handlers of agricultural pesticides. The Standard contains requirements for the training, decontam ination, notification, <br />and emergency assistance. It also contains specific instructions and exceptions pe1taining to the statements on this label about personal <br />protective equ ipment (PPE), and restricted-entry interval. These requirements only apply to uses of this product that are covered under the <br />Worker Protection Standard. Do not apply this product in a way that will contaminate workers or other persons, either directly or through <br />drift. Only protected hand lers may be in the area during application.
