The MOW <br />Manager discusses needs and living situation with participants and provides <br />referrals and assistance. Funding Requested: $25,000. Funding <br />Recommended: $10,000. <br /> <br />Peninsula Volunteers, Inc – Rosener House Adult Day Services. Rosener <br />House Adult Day Services provides a comprehensive program of services for <br />disabled older adults in a community-based setting. Older adults with physical <br />and/or cognitive disabilities participate in therapeutic activities, health and <br />support services, opportunities for socialization, and access to other community <br />resources. Rosener House provides caregivers respite from their constant <br />responsibilities. The goal is for each participant to be supported to maintain <br />his/her highest degree of independence and well-being, making it possible for <br />family caregivers to keep them at home, preventing premature or inappropriate <br />institutional placement. Funding Requested: $10,000. Funding Recommended: <br />$0. <br /> <br />Samaritan House – Free Clinic of Redwood City. The Samaritan House Free <br />Clinic of Redwood City provides – at no charge– primary, preventive, and <br />specialty healthcare services for low-income uninsured residents of the Sequoia <br />Healthcare District. Activities include primary care medical services, dentistry, <br />endocrinology, diabetic care, gynecology, nephrology, neurology, orthopedics, <br />ophthalmology, optometry, podiatry, and surgery. Funding Requested: $15,000. <br />Funding Recommended: $10,000. <br /> <br />Service League/Hope House Residential Program. The Service League's <br />Hope House provides temporary shelter, food and other emergency and life- <br />sustaining services for 40-50 women each year (not including their newborn <br />infants). The Hope House program is a comprehensive, structured residential 6- <br />month substance use disorder (SUD) and mental health treatment program. <br />The goal of Hope House is to help women transition back into the Redwood City <br />community and become responsible, productive members of society to break the <br />cycle of abuse and save the next generation.
