D. John Mooney, 980 Pleasant Hill Road, stated he agreed with Vice Mayor Hartnett's previous comments November 28, 1994, that the $500,000 unexpended general fund monies should be placed on a future agenda and spent to support police services; and added that the money should go to community service officers working with schools and counseling youths. Mr. Mooney asked that the salaries of department heads be published. City Attorney Schricker advised that the former policy was to disclose only salary ranges; but the policy had been modified and anyone who wished to know the salaries of individual department heads needs only to call the City. CONSENT CALENDAR Vice Mayor Hartnett requested the following amendment to Item 2.A, Minutes of November 28, 1994, Page 6, Line 30: Vice Mayor Hartnett stated: "With respect to the issue of $500,000 of anticipated unexpended General Fund money, I would like to have the issue of that money put on a subsequent Council agenda where we would consider whether or not that ought to be considered in connection with the police staffing and whether or not as a Council we'd refer that issue to the police committee to give us a recommendation." Councilwoman Steinfeld requested the following amendment to Item 2.A., Minutes of November 28, 1994, Line 15: Councilwoman Steinfeld stated: "the second does still request that we look at the congestion management traffic mitigation issues sometime in January relating to the balance of the Franklin area and Middlefield plaza." Councilman Sanfilipo removed Item 2.B. from the Consent Calendar. Councilwoman Steinfeld removed Item. 2.D. from the Consent Calendar.
