ORAL COMMUNICATIONS A. A request from Steve Penna, President, of the Redwood City Theatrical and Entertainment Troupe, for Council endorsement of the concept of the Troupe and consideration of funding for its activities (1307-02) Steve Penna, Redwood City resident and businessman, asked Council for their support in bringing local, live theatre, youth programs and a speakers series to Redwood City, and described his vision, partly based on his participation in the old Redwood City Players troupe, with 100% community involvement from Redwood City residents, business people and neighbors. Mr. Penna referred to the information he gave the Council Friday, and asked for start-up funding for one year in the amount of $26,000 from the Bond Issue monies set aside for downtown promotion.
