historian for potential impacts to the adjacent historic resource and by the City's HRAC <br /> for its potential impacts on the adjacent historic resources; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Applicant hired Tom Origer & Associates, a qualified <br /> Architectural Historian listed on the City's list of Qualified Historical Consultants, to <br /> analyze potential impacts to the historic resource on the project site at 801 Hamilton <br /> Street, and the four adjacent historic resources located at 2215 Broadway (Fox <br /> Theatre), 2301-2303 Broadway (Mayers Building/California Pacific Title Co.), 2317 <br /> Broadway (Sequoia Building/Montgomery Ward), and 2200 Broadway (Historic San <br /> Mateo County Courthouse), which immediately abut the project site; and <br /> WHEREAS, the historian report, dated January 19, 2016, finds that the Project is <br /> consistent with The Secretary of the Interior's Standards for the Treatment of Historic <br /> Properties with Guidelines for Preserving, Rehabilitating, Restoring & Reconstructing <br /> Buildings; and <br /> WHEREAS, the historian report also finds that the project is consistent with <br /> standards and guidelines of Sections 2.1.3.H, 2.1.4.D, 2.10.3A, 2.10.3D, and 2.10.3P of <br /> the DTPP; and <br /> WHEREAS, the historian report also finds that the project will not adversely affect <br /> the historical significance of adjacent resources because the proposed alterations are <br /> very minimal; and <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Chapter 40 of the Redwood City Code (Historic <br /> Preservation Ordinance), the HRAC shall review any application to tear down, demolish, <br /> construct, alter, remove or relocate any improvement, or any portion thereof, which has <br /> been designated a historic landmark or is within a historic district; and <br /> WHEREAS, on March 10, 2016, the HRAC conducted a duly-noticed public <br /> meeting in accordance with all applicable requirements of State Law, to review the <br /> report prepared by Tom Origer & Associates, along with other associated project <br /> materials. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HISTORIC RESOURCES <br /> ADVISORY COMMITTEE AS FOLLOWS: <br /> Section 1. Under Section 2.0.3.A.3, the HRAC has reviewed the Revised <br /> Project for conformance to the applicable Historic Resources Preservation standards <br /> and guidelines of the DTPP, and hereby finds that the Revised Project is in <br /> conformance with the applicable Historic Resources Preservation standards and <br /> guidelines. <br /> Section 2. Under Section 2.1.4.A, the HRAC hereby finds that the Revised <br /> Project will not have a significant adverse impact on the subject building and fully <br /> adheres to the Secretary of the Interior's Standards for the Treatment of Historic <br /> ATTY/RES0.0019/HRAC RESO 801 HAMILTON <br /> REV:03-21-16 is <br /> Page 2 of 3 <br />
