annexed as determined by said legislative body ; and ,
<br /> Whereas , said territory is contiguous to the City of
<br /> Redwood City and is uninhabited territory in the County
<br /> of San Mateo ;
<br /> Now , therefore , said Council of the City of Redwood
<br /> City does hereby approve the annexation of said territory
<br /> hereinafter described to the City of Redwood City , and
<br /> does hereby further ordain that said territory be and is
<br /> hereby annexed to the City of Redwood City . Said territory,
<br /> the annexation of which to the City of Redwood City is
<br /> hereby approved , is all that territory situated in the
<br /> County of San Mateo , State of California , more particularly
<br /> described as follows :

<br /> porate limits line of the corporate
<br /> area of the City of Redwood City.

<br /> 21, 1953, said point being distant
<br /> South 41° 25' 40" West 29.92 feet
<br /> from the northerly corner of that
<br /> certain public road known as Har-
<br /> cross Road as described in grant
<br /> from Roger D. Lapham, et al, to.
<br /> the County of San Mateo, dated
<br /> March 21, 1938, and recorded April
<br /> 8. 1938 in Book 778 of Official Rec-
<br /> ords of San Mateo County at page
<br /> 373, thence leeaving said point of
<br /> beginning and said corporate
<br /> limits line generally southwesterly
<br /> along the northwesterly boundary
<br /> of said Harcross Road South 41°
<br /> 25' 40" 'West 217.27 feet, on a curve
<br /> to the right tangent to last men-
<br /> tioned course, said curve having
<br /> a radius of 300.00 feet, a central
<br /> angle of 55° 08' 30", and an arc
<br /> length of 288.72 feet, on a curve.
<br /> to the left tangent to a line which
<br /> bears North S3° 25' 50" West, said
<br /> curve having a radius of :i01.64-
<br /> feet, a central angle of 52° 43' 10",
<br /> an arc length of 280.31 feet, and
<br /> South 43° 51' 00" West 44.39 feet
<br /> to the southwesterly line of the
<br /> lands described in Deed from
<br /> Woodside Hills, Inc. to the Hill-
<br /> side Manor Corporation, recorded
<br /> December 26, 1952 in Book 2345 of
<br /> Official Records of San Mateo
<br /> County, California., at page 343,
<br /> thence leaving said northwesterly
<br /> boundary of Harcross Road along
<br /> said southwesterly line, North 45°
<br /> 42' 08" West 139.98 feet to a second
<br /> point on the said corporate limits
<br /> line, said point also being a point
<br /> on the boundary of "Sterling High-
<br /> lands No. 5, Redwood City, Cali-
<br /> fornia" as shown on that certain
<br /> map filed on July 14, 1953 in Vol-
<br /> ume 37 of Maps at pages 17 and
<br /> 18, Records of San Mateo County,
<br /> California, thence along last men-
<br /> tioned boundary and corporate
<br /> limits line, North 41° 37' East
<br /> 146.37 feet, North 86° 20' East
<br /> 140.00 feet, North 76° 42' East
<br /> 216.50 feet, North 65° 00' East
<br /> 92.50 feet, North 41° 25' 40" East
<br /> 241.50 feet, South 41° 57' 34" East
<br /> 34.00 feet, on a curve to the left,
<br /> tangent to the last mentioned
<br /> course, said curve having a radius
<br /> of 1030.00 feet. a central angle of
<br /> 5° 52' 34", and an arc length of
<br /> 105.64 feet to the point of begin-
<br /> ning. CONTAINING an area 2.553
<br /> acres, more or less.•
<br /> This Ordinance shall be effective thirty ( 30 ) days
<br /> after its adoption .
