Additional funding will be requested to complete <br />later phases of the project. <br /> <br /> <br />ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW <br />As the lead agency, City of Redwood City has determined that the Red Morton Park <br />Westside Renovation Project is categorically exempt from the requirements of the <br />California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Guidelines pursuant to: <br /> <br />§ Section 15301 Class 1 “Existing Facilities” for the replacement or reconstruction <br />of existing facilities and paths where the new facilities will be located on the same <br />site as the area replaced and will have substantially the same purpose and <br />capacity. <br />§ Section 15304 Class 4 “Minor Alterations to Land” for the construction of new <br />pathways, bicycle paths, changes to existing landscaping, grading, and cut and <br />fill of soils. <br />§ Section 15311 Class 11 “Accessory Structures” for the construction of <br />appurtenant structures (e.g. playground equipment, volleyball court, seating <br />areas) in a publicly owned park. <br /> <br />Furthermore, this project has been designed compliant with the City’s Engineering <br />Standards and accepted landscape architectural practices. <br /> <br /> <br />CLAUDIA OLALLA, ASLA <br />LANDSCAPE DESIGNER <br /> <br /> <br />CHRIS BETH <br />PARKS RECREATION AND COMMUNITY SERVICES DIRECTOR <br /> <br />MELISSA STEVENSON DIAZ <br />CITY MANAGER <br /> <br />ATTACHMENT <br />1.
