EXHIBIT "A"
SCOPE OF SERVICES AND FEE
These additional services include all tasks per the original agreement as well as Amendment No. 1
through construction documents. The partnership with Magical Bridge Foundation, play zone
development and sponsorship development created the need for expanded scope and fee. This
amendment includes the following:
1. Prepare 3D Modeling for the Park and Principal -in -Charge Additional Time
A. SSA will prepare a 3D Model in Sketch up for the City and Magical Bridge for use in marketing,
promotion and fundraising.
B. SSA will provide Principal -in -Charge time coordinating, managing and directing the team
throughout Amendments I & II.
2. Kindness Corner
A. SSA will prepare four different iterations that were not in the original scope nor in Amendment
I, including shape, quantity of people to accommodate, messaging space, wall heights, main
braille panel detail, and seat design.
B. All information on the kindness corner messaging system will be prepared and submitted by SSA
for the City and Magical Bridge.
3. Shade Shelter
A. SSA will prepare five design iterations, including 3-D modeling that were not in the original
scope nor in Amendment I.
B. SSA will research options from various manufacturers to evaluate design possibilities and
associated costs. This includes soliciting and evaluating manufacturer proposals for design and
engineering services.
C. SSA will conduct technical research on fabric and pole spanning parameters to make the Magical
Bridge conceptual design feasible. This includes calls with various manufacturers and evaluation
of proposals.
D. SSA will present and discuss options at (4) meetings and (3) conference calls.
E. SSA will evaluate PlayWorld design alternatives.
4. Tree Pods
A. Due to budget concerns, research an alternative tree pod designer/builder. We will coordinate
cost estimates, site visits, attend site meetings, and collaborate with the designer to develop a
detailed cost estimate.
B. SSA will provide multiple refinements to Barbara Butler's tree pod design, including value
engineering solutions.
C. SSA will prepare bid alternative documents for the tree pods due to the high cost of the Barbara
Butler Tree Pod cost. If necessary, they can be eliminated from the contract award without
rebidding the project.
REV: 02-02-18 JS
ATTY/AGR.Amend No. 2 /SSA Landscape Architects
