7.B. - Page 115 <br /> Mitigation Monitoring and Reporting Plan <br /> • Existing access routes, staging areas,and work areas shall be limited to existing paved or <br /> disturbed surfaces. <br /> • All food and food-related items shall be enclosed in sealed trash containers and <br /> completely removed from the site at the end of each day. <br /> • All equipment shall be properly maintained to prevent leaks such as gasoline, oil,and <br /> solvents,and a Spill Response Plan shall be prepared. <br /> • The Contractor shall store all hazardous substances and materials in sealable storage <br /> containers in designated locations on paved surfaces and at least 100 feet from aquatic <br /> habitats. <br /> • Vehicle equipment fueling and maintenance shall occur at commercial gas stations or <br /> within designated staging areas that are at least 100 feet from aquatic habitats. <br /> • Biodegradable coir rolls, straw wattles, or silt fences will be installed at appropriate <br /> locations along the base of slopes during construction to capture sediment. <br /> Responsible Party: City of Redwood City oversight <br /> Mitigation Measure BIO 8: Revegetation of Disturbed Areas <br /> The Contractor shall restore all unpaved areas temporarily affected by the project construction to its <br /> original or improved conditions. The Contractor shall hydroseed the disturbed areas along the creek <br /> bank with a native plant mix. <br /> Responsible Party: City of Redwood City oversight <br /> CULTURAL RESOURCES <br /> Mitigation Measure CULT 1: Stop Work if Buried Historical Resources are Exposed during <br /> Ground-Disturbing Construction <br /> If ground-disturbing activities expose buried historical resources,work shall stop within a 50-foot <br /> radius of the find until a qualified historian has identified and evaluated the significance of the find <br /> and,if necessary,developed a plan in consultation with the City and Caltrans,if found within the <br /> Caltrans right-of-way,for documentation or recovery of these resources. <br /> Responsible Party: City of Redwood City <br /> Mitigation Measure CULT 2: Stop Work if Buried Archeological Deposits are Exposed <br /> during Ground-Disturbing Construction <br /> If ground-disturbing activities expose buried archeological resources,work shall stop within a <br /> 50-foot radius of the find until a qualified archaeologist has identified and evaluated the significance <br /> of the find and,if necessary,developed a Treatment Plan in consultation with the City and Caltrans, <br /> if found within the Caltrans right-of-way. Preservation in place shall be the preferred treatment <br /> method for archaeological resources per CEQA Guideline Section 15126.4(b) (e.g., avoidance, open <br /> space, capping, or easement).
