Utility Infrastructure Improvements <br /> 31. Conformance with the City's Engineering Standards — All public improvements <br /> shall be designed and constructed in accordance with the City's Engineering <br /> Standards. [SDR][ENGINEERING] <br /> 32. Encroachment Permits — Prior to issuance of any encroachment permit, applicant <br /> shall submit to City, and obtain approval of, an evaluation and report, prepared by a <br /> licensed engineer, in conformance with the City's Engineering Standards, <br /> demonstrating that the existing sewer mains have sufficient capacity for the Project. <br /> The study shall consider existing, project, other approved projects, and applications <br /> currently under review in determining the needed capacity. If the existing sewer main is <br /> not sufficient as determined by the City Engineer, applicant shall, as part of the Project, <br /> construct and install new sewer mains sufficient to meet such requirements, in <br /> accordance with the City's Engineering standards and as directed by the City Engineer <br /> to the City Engineer's satisfaction. [COAJ[ENGINEERING] <br /> 33. Encroachment Permits — All utilities shall be designed in accordance with the City's <br /> Engineering Standards. The applicant/contractor shall apply for and obtain an <br /> Encroachment Permit from the Community Development Department (CDD), and pay <br /> for all plan check and inspection services related to the permit. Work covered by the <br /> encroachment permit would include [SDR][ENGINEERING]: <br /> a. Work in the City's public right-of-way, easements or property in which the <br /> City holds an interest, including any on-site shoring which affects the public <br /> right-of-way. <br /> b. On-Site Grading and drainage, if the project meets the threshold where a <br /> grading permit is required. If a permit is required, a Plot and Finished <br /> Grading Plan shall be prepared by a California registered Civil Engineer. <br /> 34. Grading — Grading shall be performed in accordance with Volume III, Part II of the <br /> City's Engineering Standards (www.redwoodcity.org/cds/engineering/standards/design/Party). <br /> Soil or other construction materials shall not be stockpiled in the public right-of-way. <br /> Applicant shall submit cut/fill volumes (CY) for all soils to be imported to or exported <br /> from the site. [SDRJ[ENGINEERING] <br /> 35. Land Disturbance — For construction activity resulting in a land disturbance of one <br /> acre or more, applicant shall file a Notice of Intent (NOI) with the State Water <br /> Resources Control Board under the Construction Activities Storm Water General <br /> Permit (General Permit). The NOI indicates the applicant's intent to comply with the <br /> San Mateo Countywide Stormwater Pollution Prevention Program, including a <br /> Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP). (www.scrb.ca.gov/stormstr/construction.html). <br /> [SDR][ENGINEERING] <br /> 36. Site Inspections — Continuous site inspection shall be provided by a Soils Engineer at <br /> the Developer's expense during trenching and backfill operations. The Soils Engineer <br /> shall take compaction tests, and shall submit test results to Engineering & <br /> Construction.
