04/25/2016
2. The City of Redwood City is the lead agency under the
California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) for preparing the IS/MND, and the
City Council is the entity with final decision-making authority with regard to
approval of the Project.
3. The City Council finds that the IS/MND for the Project was
presented to the City Council, that the IS/MND was prepared, published, circulated,
reviewed and completed in full compliance with State law and CEQA Guidelines,
that there was adequate public review of the IS/MND, that it has considered the
IS/MND and all comments on the IS/MND, that the IS/MND constitutes an
adequate, accurate, objective, and complete review of the environmental effects of
the Undercrossing Project , and that the IS/MND reflects the independent judgment
and analysis of the City Council and the City of Redwood City.
4. Pursuant to Section 15074 of the State CEQA Guidelines,
the City Council finds, on the basis of the whole record before it, including but not
limited to the IS/MND and the comments received thereon, that there is no
substantial evidence that the Project, as mitigated, will have a significant effect on
the environment. Changes or alterations have been required in, or incorporated
into, the project which avoid or substantially lessen the significant environmental
effects as identified in the IS/MND.
5. Pursuant to Section 15074 of the State CEQA Guidelines, the
documents and other materials that constitute the record of proceedings upon
which the City Council based its decision are located in and may be obtained from
the Office of the City Clerk at City Hall, 1017 Middlefield Road, Redwood City,
California. The City Clerk is the custodian of records for all matters before the City.
- B. On the basis of the whole record before it, the City Council hereby
adopts the IS/MND and MMRP and approves Undercrossing Project design.
C. This Resolution is effective upon its adoption.
ATTY/RE50.0032/CC RESO US 101 UNDRCROSSING PROJECT RESO#15488
REV:04-21-16 VR MUFF#613
