________________________________________________________________________________________________ JOINT CITY COUNCIL/SUCCESSOR AGENCY BOARD/ May 9, 2016 PUBLIC FINANCING AUTHORITY MEETING AGENDA PAGE 3 By motion, 1) Award contract to IPS Group, Inc., to provide acquisition and installation of a multi and single space parking meter system for on -street and surface parking lots in Downtown Redwood City, for an amount not to exceed $1,059,216.57; 2) Authorize the City Manager to execute a Master Agreement with IPS Group, Inc. in substantially the form attached as Attachment No. 1, subject to any changes approved by the City Attorney; 3) Authorize the City Manager to purchase extended warranty and maintenance services with IPS Group, Inc., following the original 3-year warranty, annually, for up to ten years for a total amount not to exceed $584,137.27; 4) Authorize the City Manager to pay for the ongoing data management, communications, and transaction fees from IPS Group, Inc., monthly, for an estimated amount of $10,000.(This amount will vary based on system usage); 5) Authorize the City Manager to increase the contract amount, if necessary, by up to 10% of the original contract amount, and 6) Confirm the determination that the Project is exempt from the provisions of CEQA B. Award of Contract - Cathodic Protection Upgrade of the Recycled Water First Steps Pipeline Project Staff contact: Jeffrey Chou, Assistant Engineer II 780-7362 jchou@redwoodcity.org Recommendation: By motion, approve the contract documents and award the standard form construction contract (Section 00520) for the Cathodic Protection Upgrade of the Recycled Water First Steps Pipeline Project to Corrpro Companies, Inc. of Hayward for their responsive and responsible low bid of $129,842.00; and, authorize the City Manager to increase the contract amount, if necessary, up to 10% of the original contract amount, not to exceed $142,826.20.
