<br />________________________________________________________________________________________________ <br />JOINT CITY COUNCIL/SUCCESSOR AGENCY BOARD/ May 9, 2016 <br />PUBLIC FINANCING AUTHORITY MEETING AGENDA PAGE 3 <br /> By motion, <br />1) Award contract to IPS Group, Inc., to provide acquisition and installation <br />of a multi and single space parking meter system for on -street and surface <br />parking lots in Downtown Redwood City, for an amount not to exceed <br />$1,059,216.57; <br />2) Authorize the City Manager to execute a Master Agreement with IPS <br />Group, Inc. in substantially the form attached as Attachment No. 1, subject <br />to any changes approved by the City Attorney; <br />3) Authorize the City Manager to purchase extended warranty and <br />maintenance services with IPS Group, Inc., following the original 3-year <br />warranty, annually, for up to ten years for a total amount not to exceed <br />$584,137.27; <br />4) Authorize the City Manager to pay for the ongoing data management, <br />communications, and transaction fees from IPS Group, Inc., monthly, for an <br />estimated amount of $10,000.(This amount will vary based on system <br />usage); <br />5) Authorize the City Manager to increase the contract amount, if necessary, <br />by up to 10% of the original contract amount, and <br />6) Confirm the determination that the Project is exempt from the provisions <br />of CEQA <br /> <br /> B. Award of Contract - Cathodic Protection Upgrade of the Recycled <br />Water First Steps Pipeline Project <br /> <br /> Staff contact: Jeffrey Chou, Assistant Engineer II 780-7362 jchou@redwoodcity.org <br /> <br /> Recommendation: <br /> By motion, approve the contract documents and award the standard form <br />construction contract (Section 00520) for the Cathodic Protection Upgrade of <br />the Recycled Water First Steps Pipeline Project to Corrpro Companies, Inc. <br />of Hayward for their responsive and responsible low bid of $129,842.00; <br />and, authorize the City Manager to increase the contract amount, if <br />necessary, up to 10% of the original contract amount, not to exceed <br />$142,826.20. Confirm California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) <br />exemption criteria as set forth in Section 15301 (Existing Facilities) and <br />Section 15302 (Replacement or Reconstruction) of the CEQA Regulations <br /> <br /> D.
